Michelle O’Malley named interim chair of the Bioengineering department.

Michelle O’Malley, professor of chemical engineering and bioengineering at UCSB, has been named interim chair of the Bioengineering Department, succeeding founding chair Beth Pruitt. Dean Umesh Mishra expressed gratitude to Pruitt for her leadership and welcomed O’Malley’s guidance during the department’s transition.
